Kids, So Many Kids!

We are in the stage of life where all of our friends are having kids. They are tons of fun to shoot.

Bryan & Kendi Engagement Photoshoot

Bryan and Kendi are recent HSU alums. Shooting these pictures was tons of fun. As you can see, they are perfect. They may have a future at J.Crew.

A Little Bit About Me...

By day, I am professor of communication at Hardin-Simmons University. I spend my days talking about boring stuff like Aristotle and public speaking. If you're having trouble falling asleep, give me a call. (I digress) A few years ago, I started shooting around campus. (Photos, of course! If I was shooting guns, I would be writing this from prison!) I began shooting for HSU's university alumni publication, The Range Rider. Mostly I photographed landscapes and architecture, but quickly I discovered my love of taking portraits. I really enjoy capturing people at their best.

From there, I continued shooting children, infants, families, and business professionals. (Sheesh, this sounds really bad! Maybe photographers should find another verb for what they do!) I love the technical side of photography as well as the human element of getting to know people and trying to get them to smile and not blink. (This is no small task, at times. Try taking a photo of my wife!) I also really love the post-production side of photography with Photoshop CS3. (I'm also a Mac snob. If you don't own a Mac, you should stop reading this, throw your PC in the trash, and get one.)

I live in Abilene with my wife Crista and my one-year-old son Luke. My wife and I graduated from HSU in May of 2000. I went on to get two more degrees ACU and Texas A&M, masters and doctorate respectively. (I'm a glutton for punishment.) Oh, and I'm an Aggie, sort of. (Don't hold it against me!)

Give me a call, I would love to capture your memories.
